Description: The Stick Series quick start boards from rhydoLABZ are primarily intended to be used as a development system for 64-pin ARM Controllers (LPC2129/38/48), which can also be used as stand-alone devices. Over the last few years, the ARM architecture has become the most pervasive 32-bit architecture in the world of embedded electronics while LPC2148/38/29 still being the most widely used in ARM7 family. They come with many inbuilt peripherals making them more efficient and a reliable option for the beginners as well as high end application developers.
rhydoLABZ LPC2129 Stick consists of all basic components required to quickly evaluate and demonstrate the capabilities of NXP LPC2129 (ARM7TDMI) microcontroller. LPC2129 is an ARM7TDMI-S based high-performance 32-bit RISC Microcontroller with Thumb extensions 256KB on-chip Flash ROM with In-System Programming (ISP) and In-Application Programming (IAP) 16KB RAM, Vectored Interrupt Controller, Two UARTs, I2C serial interface, 2 SPI serial interfaces Two timers (7 capture/compare channels), PWM unit with up to 6 PWM outputs, 4-channels 10bit ADC, 2 CAN channels. Real Time Clock, Watchdog Timer, General purpose I/O pins. CPU clock up to 60 MHz, On-chip crystal oscillator and On-chip PLL.
The Stick board is designed and populated with USB connector, voltage regulators, 10MHz Crystal and necessary de-coupling capacitors in a breadboard compatible formfactor with access to all Port pins for external connection. The voltage regulation circuitry is based on two ICs; an LD1117 LDO regulator generating 3V3 input power supply and a CP2985 generating 1V8 for the processor CPU. Power supply input can be either from the VCC pinout or the USB Supply (Use J1 for appropriate power input selection). The design also includes a reset switch to avoid programming pitfalls and to manually bring back the system to the initialisation mode. LPC2129 can be programmed within the system using Stick's USB interface.
NOTE: The LPC2129 Stick comes with pre-programmed bootloader, can be programmed using USB-UART interface available on-board. Also, the board can be powered using the same USB connector.
NOTE: Form-factor & pin-out our ARM Stick Quick-start boards are entirely different from that of our ARM header boards.
