Description: iROVER-robotic chassis is a light weight, low cost, medium capacity multipurpose robotic chassis which provides a great opportunity for rookies as well as pros to quench at least a bit of their limitless robotic passion carvings.

iROVER robotic chassis is  made of a 3mm thick acrylic sheet which provides a strong and rigid platform to build a robotic chassis. . It is designed with minimum number of parts considering ease of assembly. iROVER is making in such a way that it doesn’t have any sharp edges. This is to make sure that the chassis doesn’t get stuck at corners. It has got two chassis top and bottom; top chassis consist of a micro servo and both these plates together encloses two continuous rotation plastic geared servo motors with two plastic servo motor wheel powers the chassis along with a ball caster wheel for support.

 

Once fully assembled, it can be easily interface with a quick start board or an Arduino development platform. The top chassis is designed in such a way that any type of PCB’s can be implemented/fix in it. The main advantage of iROVER is that as we are using servo motor, the major out-coming will be great accuracy with high speed controlling.

iROVER is also capable of carrying a proximity sensor like SHARP IR or RhydoLabz® ECHO Ultrasonic on its pan head which could either be attached on the servo neck/head or slots provided on the top plate
n the bottom chassis, between caster wheel and motors the spaces are provided for holding two 4xAAA batteries. Whereas the top plate has slots to hold a toggle switch which could be used to disconnect battery from the circuit while not in use.

Smart could be made even smarter by simply purchasing the add-on kits available at RhydoLabz which gives access to more pan heads, array holds & spares which simply enhances the features of iROVER.
