    • Yes indeed.
      Just make sure that you connect it in the right way.
      Since Vin pin doesn't come reverse polarity protection. A wrong connection means a fried arduino.

      Also keep a note on the current consumption of the project & the ampere rating of the battery to get an estimate on the battery backup.
