User friendliness is another highlight additional to its small form-factor. With your hands on photon you wont need to worry about cloud connectivity anymore. The PCB design has 3.3VDC SMPS power supply, RF and user interface components to the PØ (P Zero), all on a small single-sided PCB. With the Photon, Particle also offers you access to its cloud service, 'The Particle Cloud'. The Particle Cloud is really great for building connected projects, including over-the-air firmware updates, an easy-to-use REST API, and firmware development supported by web and local IDEs.

    • It seems the module is without antenna.Is the antenna required?

    • Photon has an onboard PCB ceramic chip antenna, and a u.FL connector for external antenna adaptation. Therefore, the module will work fine even without an external antenna

      The default port will be set to the chip antenna.
