ITR20001/T Reflective Optical Sensor is an array of five Reflective IR sensors that have been configured to read as digital bits. This sensor works by detecting reflected light coming from its own infrared LED. By measuring the amount of reflected infrared light, it can detect transitions from light to dark (lines) or even objects directly in front of it. The sensor output can be meassure either by ADC or by Digital Input Pins.
The sensor designed as very slim board (62mm x 11 mm) with 6nos 3mm Screw holes so as to be compatible with differnt robotic chasiss available in the market. All Input and Output pins are made available on separate 2MM Pitch RMC connector.
The ITR20001/T consist of an infrared emitting diode and an NPN silicon phototransistor, encased side-by-side on converging optical axis in a black thermoplastic housing. The phototransistor receives radiation from the IR only. This is the normal situation. But when an reflecting object close to ITR, phototransistor receives the reflecting radiation. The mounting hole lets you easily connect one or more of these to the front or back of your robot chassis.
