40 Pin Zif Socket Board (Pickit2 Compatible) is a USB PIC KIT2 Compatible socket board for programming/debugging Microchip PIC Microcontrollers. This is a simple, low-cost and compact breakout board, offering a 20-pin ZIF (Zero Insertion Force) socket for easy PIC programming. It is 100% compatible with the PICkit 2 interface and Microchip's MPLAB IDE. The 40 Pin Zif Socket Board along with Pickit2 can program all popular PIC 5V microcontrollers including the PIC16F84, PIC16F628, PIC18F458 and PIC16F877.

The 40 Pin Zif Socket Board has RJ-11 connector and ICSP pins (Pickit2 compatible), and also there is provision for selecting the IC pin count (8/14/18/28/40 pins).
