Highly recommended with a Raspberry Pi

This cable is of great use while using a raspberry pi.
basically from what I know, HDMI out in a raspberry pi should be connected to some kind of display devices.
HDMI out of a laptop also works just like that.
So, am not sure what happens when we connect these two together.
