Touch is supported in desktop windows and Linux os?
Raspbian OS (Linux) and the latest version of Windows 10 IOT is built to support touch input. We have tested this display with Raspbian OS only, not Windows.
Let me know which one is correct and is it capacitive touch.
Resolution for this display (7INCH HDMI LCD (C)) is 1024x600.
And it is capacitive touch
The display not showing any touch response. I think the problem is with the Raspbian. How could I fix this?
To get the issue fixed, follow the below mentioned procedure.
Download the image, Raspbian, from Raspberry Pi web site.
Write the image to a TF card and put it on the pi and power on the device.
After the booting(which will take some minutes) open the LX terminal and type,
sudo nano /boot/config.txt and press the enter key.
Add the code shown below to the end of file;
hdmi_cvt 1024 600 60 6 0 0 0
Then press Ctrl+x and thus enter y to save the file.
Restart the RPi and connect the LCD to it.
